Hello PiratePrincessElayne~

I am quite impressed on the quality of this piece. It bears the things that good artists are trying to have; a good vision and good use of the materials. There are a couple things that are lacking from this picture, in which I will explain later, but there are many strong qualities as well.

Things that I absolutley love
The aspect of this picture is very clear. I can distinguish the diffrence between the hair and the mountians, the dress and the fog, and etc. This comes into the contrasting of colors, which you seem to have mastered, so each item is easy to pick out. The fog is superbly blended (very good job) and is the corresponding color to the rocks in which it lies. I am quite pleased with the overall vision of this piece.

I can tell that you have thought of this picture off of your own mind, and it wasn't copied. There aren't any acrylic paintings that I know of out there of fire elves! ~ you no doubt, have the originality of this piece down.

The blending of the acrylic colors are good, and very crisp, which makes for a brilliant vision. The shading is, all together, in the correct places, making this piece all the better. Proportions are a bit of an issue when it comes to looking at the shape of the face and arms of the human body, but otherwise, the proportions of the background and the fire, along with the elf's legs and dress are perfect.

When I look at this picture, I think of a lustful young woman (or elf) that has power. The fog let's that power stand out, the dull grey against the bright red... that makes in impact on who you think this character is. Stunning use of acrylics.

Things that can be improved upon
Proportions are your biggest issue. When you look at the elf's face, her eyes are far apart. This would be okay, but the fact that the nose is made flat, and placed downwards would cause the whole upper part of the face to be out of human body proportions. The elbow on the left arm is a bit too high up, as well.

How can you help improve that?
Start making more portraits of people using graphite or charcoal, using a model (either a picture off the internet or an actual model, if you have access to it), and focus on the exact placement of the nose and eyes.

Summary:

Brilliant picture, it really is. It is stunning.
Great job!!
